With captains’ practices, timed miles and August tryouts out of the way, student athletes are finally able to take a breath of fresh air as they begin their fall practices. As the season begins, the new year boasts new captains, teams, standout freshmen and chances for the Rams to seize the state title.

As the new school year begins, college-bound seniors are buckling down to get good first semester grades, meet application deadlines and actually get in to college. High test-scores and GPAs are not their only worries, however – keeping up a good online reputation has become more and more important with the ever-growing technology.

Summer Art Show success

On Thursday night during the Parents’ Open House, the new Summer Art Show will be featured in the lobby of NCHS.

The show highlights art specifically created this summer by both students and faculty and ranges from paintings, to poetry and even video presentations.

Parking wars: a fight for space

Sara is one of the hundreds of students who are constantly navigating around the strict parking laws here at the high school. Segregated parking is not a new trend for New Canaan High School, but recently there have been many complaints about the severe punishment and conflict it presents.
