With the help of junior Justin Clark, the boys golf team ended their regular season with an 11-5 record. The Rams hope to improve their results even more next year with Justin as their new captain.

After winning both FCIACs and states, Justin expects nothing less from next years team. “I feel really optimistic about next year. It’s always hard to tell how your team will do after losing five seniors, but we always find a way to be one of the top teams in the FCIAC and I expect nothing less next year,”  Justin said.

Because the team will be losing five seniors next year, Justin aims to help the underclassman so that they will improve and achieve the same results next year as they did this year. “As captain, I am going to have a lot of responsibilities in helping the underclassmen with the experience I have received,” Jusin said.

With a record consisting of three wins and ten losses, the girls golf season did not go according to plan. However, the girls choose to see the victories as a good reflection of their season due to the fact that two of the three were against Wilton and Darien.

Sophomore Tessa Piontkowski believes that the season did go well despite what the record shows. “Our season

went great,” Tessa said. “We are all improving and we won more matches this year than last.”

Although the season was mainly filled with tough losses, such as the the one in the Rams’ second match against Wilton by one stroke, there were still many high points, leaving the team with goals for next year. “The highlight was beating Darien during our last match of the season,” Tessa said. “I’m looking forward to another successful one next year and hopefully competing in FCIACs as a team.”
