Boys Lacrosse:
Boys Lacrosse won their first three games of the season, defeating Mamaroneck, Cheshire and Pleasantville. None of the games have been very competitive, as they defeated Mamaroneck 8-4, Cheshire 14-8 and Pleasantville 14-5. The victory over Cheshire showed the Rams’ potential on the year, as they held the 2024 top recruit in the nation, Matt Jeffery, scoreless throughout the entire game. The Rams next game is Saturday, April 5, against Glastonbury at 11am.

Record: 3-0
Next Game: April 5 v Glastonbury

Baseball:
Boys Baseball had their first game on Saturday, March 30, against Abbott Tech. The Rams were able to make quick work of Abbott Tech, beating them 12-0 through six innings. Senior captain Jack Jensen put forth a stellar performance, striking out eleven through five innings. The boys will continue to rely on Jensen as he gets the ball Saturday, April 5, against Jonathan Law. Senior captains Henry Silva and Alex Benevento led the way offensively against Abbott Tech, with two hits apiece. Henry ended the day with six RBIs, three of them coming off of a home run in the 4th inning. Benevento contributed two RB’s of his own, and managed to get on base all four times he came to the plate.

Record: 1-0
Next Game: April 5 v Jonathan Law

Softball:
The softball team started off their season on March 30, losing 1-0 to Foran. They then faced Brookfield on April 1, yet once again lost, this time by a score of 2-1. Sophomore Marissa DelCarmine pitched all seven innings of the game, striking out four batters. Sophomore Lauren Fico drove in the only run of the game via an RBI single. The pitching for the girls has lived up to preseason expectations, the bats just now have to follow. The girls will now turn their attention to a familiar opponent, the Ridgefield Tigers.

Record: 2-0
Next Game: April 8 at Ridgefield

Boys Volleyball:
Boys Volleyball started their season on Monday, April 1, by defeating Shelton three sets to one. They followed up this performance by defeating Greenwich on Wednesday, again in four sets, led by the hitting and setting abilities of senior captain Benji Sturcke and sophomore Dylan Ho. On Thursday, despite being down starters Sai Akavaramu (junior) and Nolan McLaughin (sophomore), the Rams held on to defeat Newtown three sets to two. The boys now turn their attention to rival Darien on Friday, April 12, where they are looking to beat the Blue Wave for the first time in nearly a decade.

Record: 3-0
