Girls Indoor Track is coming off a season focused on improvement last year. “Last year, we were focused on bettering ourselves,” senior captain Beth Kelley said. “We definitely made a lot of progress, but at the same time, we have room to improve.”

The girls lost four seniors last year from their 4×400 team: Alex Naughton, Emily Wood, Isabel Hetherington, and Maureen Schott. These sprinters were a key part of the team during last year’s season, but the program still has a positive outlook on the upcoming year. Although they lost many of their seniors, they gained a lot of young talent. “We have some really amazing freshmen and sophomores that have a lot of potential, like Callie Brannan,” Beth said. “We are hoping to have more depth for the team this year so instead of having a few great girls running in each event, we want to have everyone running in the event be solid.”

The girl’s indoor track team are taking this year as a developmental season, but still hope to have great season’s out of captains Emma Crowley, Katie Harshbarge, and Beth Kelley. They are eager to start their season and build on their improvement from last year. “I just want to see the team work hard and continue making the progress we have in the last few years,” Beth said.
