What is your favorite aspect of basketball and your team?
“I think my favorite aspect is playing in games because it can be a lot of fun when we get really competitive. I like that we all show up to the game and we want to play. We are ready to play and we try to win. We have not

been winning, but we try to.”

Does basketball or sports in general compete or interfere with your “normal” life?
“Yes, for basketball most of our games are Friday nights at 7, so it definitely hurts a lot of people’s social lives, but other than that no. Our practices are really short; usually going from 2 to 4:30.”

What is your favorite memory so far with NCGB?
“My favorite moment is when Reilly Krug was playing in a game last year and we all witnessed it and she was trying to pass the ball and just fell in slow motion. Another moment is in film the other day, we were watching Ellie Aliapoulios, who was dribbling between two girls and they both like tripped her. Then the film kind of got caught, so it just replayed it and replayed it and we just watched Ellie fall a couple times and it was really funny.”

What is a general practice like? Is there anything that you do every day?
“Every day we warm up, then we’ll either do three v. two’s, or five man weave back to three on three back to two on one, and then we spend like 45 min going over plays, and it’s just running plays. One thing we do is we usually do five on five or five on five on five, which is like somebody shoots and makes the basket, goes on to play the other team and you just keep playing to see who gets the most points. It’s fun but it gets intense.”

If you could play pick-up with any person in the world, who would you want to play with?
“I’d want to play pick up with Kevin Hart, because he’s definitely into basketball but he’s short like me so I think it’d be pretty evenly matched [laughs].”
