Hey! My name is Allie Neugeboren and I am the Features section editor along with Brittany Barber. This year in features, our goal is to create a visually appealing and interesting section that encompasses the liveliness of NCHS. So far, we’ve written stories about summer mission trips, the Kelly Devine swim meet, and the new Healthy Living Trails. You can read all about those here. This cycle in features:

Teacher Profile: Michael Joshi:
Junior reporter, Abby Weiss, explores the personal accomplishments of history teacher Michael Joshi. She highlights Mr. Joshi’s encounters with Obama and Beyoncé and what lead him to become a teacher at NCHS.

Stress tips the scales
Students struggle to balance AP classes and personal time:
Junior reporter, Caroline Castle, focus’ on students opinions on stress and explores different recommended techniques to manage it in a healthy way.

Teacher Profile: Ms. McCauley:
Sophomore reporter, Gwynne Tenney, delves into Olivia McCauley’s personal ambitions and what inspired her to become a teacher.

Child Development’s dedicated students push the program to the top:
Senior reporter, Campbell Armstrong, reports on the in’s and out’s of the pre-school, and how it differs from other high school’s child development programs.

NCHS students reveal a day in the life of a volunteer EMT:
Sophomore reporter, Joelle Anselmo, researches Teddy Holappa and Danny Fairchild’s not so typical high school jobs as they recall their most memorable moments from on the job.
