Boys Basketball:
Boys Basketball was able to snap their 5 game losing streak with a win over Greenwich 57-44 on January 23. Senior captain Teddy Whittaker played a big role in the game, scoring 17 points. The boys then traveled to Wilton last Friday, where they unfortunately lost 46-38 The game was another close game in a season of heartbreaking defeats, as the boys had the game within one in the final minute.

Girls Basketball:
Girls Basketball was able to end their three game losing streak by beating Wilton 36-29 on January 26. Previously, they had lost two closely contested road games to Warde and Greenwich, as well as home against Ludlowe. The Wilton win gives the team an 8-5 overall record and 5-4 FCIAC record.

Overall Record: 8-5

Boys Hockey:
After steamrolling an undefeated Prout (RI) team, the Rams continued their hot streak on January 23rd, dominating Fairfield Co-Op 8-1. Doster Crowell continued scored four goals to top Fairfield. On January 26th, New Canaan faced off against Stamford/Westhill, at Darien Ice House. They came out on top 7-1, with 3 goals from Gavin Fitzpatrick, 2 goals from Max Lowe, and 1 goal from Doster Crowell and Elliot Kropf. 

Overall Record: 9-2
FCIAC Standing: 2nd 
Next Game: January 29 v Woodstock (Darien Ice House)

Girls Hockey:
Girls Hockey continues to stay hot after their loss to first-ranked Darien on January 10. Last week, the Rams were able to take down Fairfield Ludlowe/Warde 7-0 and Stamford/Westhill/Staples 2-0, boosting their record to an impressive 14-1. Freshman goalie Macyn Callahan has continued her stellar play, pitching two shutouts last week. Macyn has now only allowed 5 goals on the season, with shutouts in 11 out of 15 games so far this year.

Boys Swim and Dive:
Boys Swim and Dive has been dominant in the pool this season as they look to four-peat as state champions alongside an FCIAC championship which hasn’t been done since 2007. Last week they faced their two toughest opponents in Norwalk and Greenwich. The boys came out victorious against Norwalk but lost 97-89 to Greenwich, who ranks as the best team in the state.

Next Meet: January 31 at Westhill/Stamford

Boys Track and Field:
Boys Track and Field placed fourth in the FCIAC East Division Championship that took place on January 27 at Wilton High School. Senior Maxon Ericsson won the 600 meter, and the 4×750 team finished first as well. The East Division Championship secured the boys a place to compete in the FCIAC Championship. 

Next Meet: February 1, FCIAC Championship at Floyd Little Athletic Center

Girls Track and Field:
Girls Track and Field won the FCIAC East Division Championship, beating out second place Darien by four points. Charlotte Moor won the 1000 meter, Lauren Smith won shot put and Cora Shooshan won high jump. After the dominant victory, the team was nominated to win Ruden Report team of the week. The team now has their eyes set on the FCIAC Championship.
