The Eras Tour took the world by storm this summer, becoming the highest grossing tour of all time, racking in over two billion dollars and counting. Taylor Swift and her ten eras seem to be the only thing people are talking about lately from the success of her albums to the sheer power and dominance of Swift in the music industry. The three hour show includes 44 songs from her discography, featuring her music dating back to 2006. Despite the marvel of the show, not everyone was able to attend. However, on October 13, Swift is released a movie of the tour worldwide, providing everyone with an opportunity to see the spectacle.

Junior Kaisa Milligan attended the tour in late May when Swift performed at MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. As a big Swiftie, Kaisa loved the tour so much, such that she’s not sure how Taylor Swift can top it. “I’m not anticipating the movie as much as the tour because I don’t think it can be a better experience than what the concert was, however, I am very excited for it to come out nonetheless,” Kaisa said.

Junior Fifi Staron, who also attended the tour at East Rutherford in May, shared a similar sentiment. “I don’t think it would be possible for me to anticipate the movie as much as the tour because I was preparing for the tour for months,” she said. “The movie will just act as a way to relive it. But I am still very excited.”

With the prices of movie tickets being more affordable, many more Swifties are able to witness the once in a lifetime experience. “I think having a movie for the tour is important because it opens up the tour to a whole new audience that might not have been able to go to a concert of hers,” Kaisa said.

Fifi is hopeful for the movie as she wants it to give those who didn’t get the opportunity to go the same feeling she had when she went live. “I have high expectations for the movie, because the tour was so good in person, so everyone will have the opportunity to experience it.”

On the contrary, Kaisa is worried the movie will not give that same feeling she had at the tour. “I have medium expectations for the movie because it won’t be the same as it was live,” she said. “I understand that it isn’t meant to be the same as it was live, but it’s still sad that it won’t be the same.”

Even though the Eras Tour will likely not give the same effect on the big screen as it did in person, the movie is still sure to be successful. The movie will provide those who couldn’t get tickets the chance to experience what the tour was like, and it will give those who saw the tour in person, a chance to relive such a magical night.
