For Spirit Week 2022, students at NCHS were more creative and decked-out in spirit than ever! Here are some of the highlights of a great week leading up to Homecoming.
For the first day of Spirit Week, each grade had its own, unique theme. Freshmen were given a choice between soccer moms or barbecue dads, sophomores wore sports jerseys, juniors were cowboys, and seniors wore outfits inspired by the Y2K era.
On Tuesday of Spirit Week, the theme was “Anything but a Backpack”. Students had a chance to be as creative as they want, by bringing in an item to replace their backpack for holding their materials. Ideas ranged from a microwave to younger siblings!
On Wednesdays we wear pink! The third day of Spirit Week was inspired by the iconic movie, Mean Girls!
Thursday was Decades Day! NCHS students wore outfits inspired by previous decades. Freshmen were assigned to the 50s, sophomores 60s, juniors 70s, and seniors 80s.
To wrap up the school week, students and teachers wore all the red and black they had. Red & Black Day is a tradition for the Friday of Spirit Week every year at NCHS!
During Red & Black Day, the annual Pep Rally was hosted in the gym. Fall sports teams performed dances, students were involved in Tug of War, and more!
