Senior Profile: Teresa Montanari

This was a really fun layout that I did the whole entire school year. I actually took the photos of the desks with the props in the photos.

This is a page I did my junior year which was all about Spring Flings! It took a lot of time and effort, but I was incredibly pleased with the end result. It is always makes tasks easier to do when they are entertaining and interesting!

I personally loved this front page that I did! I actually took two of the photos for this page- the one of Spencer West and then the one of Nick Depuy in the bottom right corner. I really liked this page because I thought the photo of Spencer West was one of the most eye-grabbing the Courant has ever seen.

I’m Teresa Montanari and I have been in Journalism since the very first day of my sophomore year. I can still remember the day like it was yesterday so it is incredible to me that I’m about to graduate in less than a week! I came into Journalism wanting to be a reporter but I quickly found that meeting deadlines was not my strong suit. Instead, I was drawn to creating graphics and layouts and taking photographs. I came to find how important the visual aspect of a story is. It is what brings the reader in and makes them even want to read the article! Since I came to this realization, I’ve worked my way from reporter to layout editor to the position I currently hold which is creative director. I have loved every single moment in this class. It has helped me determine the career path I would like to take and it exposed talents I would have never uncovered.Thank you to everyone for a great three years! Mwahz
