So I’m Elizabeth Kilbride, former opinions and news ed here at the Courant. Journalism I and II have given me the opportunity to feel really awkward over phone interviews and stay at school for long periods of time while we lay out the print edition of the paper.
I’ve also been able to share bylines with peers I like a lot and research stories that interest me. I know how to use InDesign and write leads and everything good that you should get out of a journalism class. More than that, I can say learning was a positive experience, so kudos to the advisors – they’re pretty cool. From my very first blog (cringe), to my very first opinions article, and finally to my very last, here’s to room 123.
