Senior Matt Swift sealed the deal on senior night, Feb. 14, in a game against the Fairfield Ludlowe Falcons that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
Sophomore Zach Allen scored a game high of 10 points and senior Andrew Read and junior Erik Jager both contributed 8 points apiece.
After the first half the Rams were down 22-17 and then closed the third quarter still trailing 32-31.
With 25 seconds to go in the fourth, down 39-38, Jager made two free throws to give the Rams the lead. Swift then made another free throw and the Rams celebrated victory, 41-39.
With this win, the Rams’ record is now 6-12. On Feb. 18 the boys will be home against Greenwich and then on Feb. 20 they will be away at Wilton to finish off the regular season. The Rams need to win these next two games in order to qualify for the state tournament.
