Ram Jam 2026 took place on Friday, March 27 at Saxe Middle School. Seniors danced down the runway and performed skits on the stage to raise the most money possible for the NCHS Senior Post Prom Afterparty. This year’s Ram Jam sold a record-breaking number of tickets amounting to $15,000 and was a fun event for all those who participated and attended.

A large amount of planning went into Ram Jam from both students and staff, with early mornings and late nights. “For the entire week before Ram Jam, the performing Seniors came to Saxe every single night for hours and practiced with each other and with our awesome Sound Coordinator Zac,” Ram Jam Co-Chair Katie Holmstead said.

Seniors performed skits and walked the runway in prom dresses and tuxedos. Some of the skits included Trolls, The Gots, Team Beach, Collab 2.0, and Miracle on Ice.

For both those participating and those watching, Ram Jam was filled with fun and unforgettable moments. “I have so many amazing memories but my favorite part was the very last moment of the night where all of the students were together on stage dancing to Last Dance by Donna Summer,” Ms. Holmstead said.

Some of the best memories from Ram Jam are usually during the event, but not for everybody. “My favorite memories are from the week of rehearsals before Ram Jam,” Ram Jam Co-Chair Jenny Zwick said. “Katie and I loved getting to know all of the seniors—the band members, models and skit participants.”

While student participation was a concern at first, the seniors put on a stellar show. “Some students were hesitant at first, but once they saw others performing, they jumped right in,” Ms. Holmstead said. “I think in the end what really got people to come out of their shells was realizing that others were doing skits and that it really was going to be fun.”

Although Ram Jam required significant effort and collaboration from many, it helped bring the NCHS community together. “The Class of 2026 is filled with extraordinary people, and I’ll always be grateful for the chance I had to get to know them better through Ram Jam,” Ms. Zwick said.
