With new testing introduced to the Mar. 2014 schedule, NCHS is in for a packed month. Contrary to popular belief, the CAPT tests will only be administered for two days, including Weds., Mar. 12 and Thurs., Mar. 13. From Tues., Mar. 25 to Thurs., Mar. 27, SBAC testing will take place. SBAC testing will resume from Mon., Apr. 7 and end on Weds., Apr. 9.

On every testing date, all classes will end by 11:45 AM. Instead of the typical 48-minute class periods, all classes will be only 32 minutes long. The class scheduling will remain the same, following the 8-day rotation schedule.

For sophomores taking the CAPTs, there is a lunch period after 11:45. After lunch, 10th graders report to their testing locations, which are posted around the building. In terms of dismissal, busses will be running on time. For students who can’t go home at 11:45, they can stay in the cafeteria, since the library and other locations are filled for testing.

A safe driving awareness assembly will be held in the NCHS auditorium for juniors and seniors on Wednesday, March 12th from 9:30-10:15. Juniors and seniors will resume to classes after the assembly, and are permitted to leave before CAPT testing begins.

Students can refer to the NCHS March schedule PDF on the school website.
