Occupational therapy is just one piece of special education at NCHS. The service deals with students with a wide range of capabilities. Some students have no cognitive impairments and go to improve their handwriting or because of a physical disability. Other students go to learn how to do household chores. However, all students go to improve their ability to do “occupations,” meaning activities that are necessary in daily life.
