Hope in the Midst of Quarantine; Lebanese Love

Every weekday, I will be posting bits of hope and positivity from around the world in the midst of the Coronavirus quarantine

When 25 year old Jess Younis returned from Paris to her family in Lebanon, she was met with a beautiful birthday surprise. Because a medical state of emergency was declared and the entire country shutdown, she was unable to celebrate her birthday. So, her neighbors stood on their balconies or leaned out their windows to sing her happy birthday as she was surprised with a cake.

In the Lebanese town Cornet Chehwan, music also filled the streets. People began singing the popular Egyptian song “Bent El Geran” from their balconies.
