Hope in the Midst of Quarantine; Gossip Girl

Every weekday, I will be posting bits of hope and positivity from around the world in the midst of the Coronavirus quarantine

When the world first became quarantined, and everybody became stuck indoors, gossip slowly diminished. Variety social media editor Meg Zukin was among the majority when she admitted missing the drama, so she asked Twitter for gossip.

Zukin began to recieve lots of emails from those who were experiencing drama, which led to a great idea…

Anyone who wishes to view the google doc filled with (anonymous) drama must pay her $1 via Venmo or Paypal. After the document reached 2,000 people, Zukin created a website; The Social Distancing Project

All donations go to many different organizations, from food banks across the nation to suicide prevention.

The website now has employee Sarah Nixon who reached out to Zukin multiple times about potential charities, and Zukin ended up asking her to help run the site. Now, the stories are free to view on her website but she is still accepting donations.

As of right now, the site has raised $8,703.68 and counting!
