This year, Spirit Week was extended one day with the addition of “Clash Day” on Tuesday. Executive Vice President Elbek Abasov emphasized the privilege of gaining another spirit day and the extra responsibility that comes with it. “We hope Clash Day is a more inclusive, spirit-inducing day that can really unite students because it’s not too crazy like some of the other [spirit days]and anybody can clash – there’s not exclusiveness between groups of friends,” he said.

The Spirit Week schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, October 26 – Clash Day
Wednesday, October 27 – Clone Day
Thursday, October 28 – Turn Back the Clock Day
Friday, October 29 – Red and Black Day, Pep Rally
Saturday, October 30 – Homecoming Game vs. Wilton at 1:30 and Homecoming Dance from 7 to 11.

In an email sent to the entire student body, Principal Tony Pavia stressed inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. “Please understand that the moment one event is disruptive, the next one will be cancelled,” he wrote. “Thus, once again, it becomes important that you not allow a small group to ruin your homecoming week.”
