Welcome back to Golden Shovel poetry! I found an article from April 21st, 2021. It reads: “Falcon and Winter Soldier Finale Leaks Reveal a Surprising Ending.” Enjoy my poem based on the title!
To be a falcon,
soaring above the trees and
other birds, unafraid of the winter
nor the storms, a servant nor a soldier
to nature. There is no finale
for a falcon, only a perpetual cycle of living, a strength that leaks
into the other birds that will reveal
that nature has a
power greater than humanity, surprising
to us, but not to them, for we have what they do not: an ending.
