Have you ever heard the phrase “Dance like nobody’s watching”? Well, as we are all in quarantine, this blog will provide weekly updates about what (otherwise unapproachable) activities you can now try out in the safety of your own home since nobody is watching what you do!

It has certainly been upsetting for many eager concert goers to witness the cancelling and postponement of performances worldwide. Artists such as Little Mix, BTS, Kesha, The Lumineers, and more have all cancelled or postponed their previously upcoming tours. Thankfully, certain organizations have collaborated to create virtual concerts and performances that you can access right at home.

During Facebook and Instagram’s Celebrate the Class of 2020 event, Miley Cyrus will be performing her song “The Climb.” This event, celebrating 2020 graduates that won’t able to experience an in-person commencement ceremony due to COVID-19, will be streamed from Facebook at 2 pm EST on May 15.

Amazon Prime Video, Broadway on Demand, iHeartRadio Broadway, Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, and Stars in the House will stream A Night Of Covenant House Stars for the Covenant House charity on May 18 at 8 pm EST. This virtual concert event will showcase performances by stars from the radio, stage, and screen, such as Jordan Fisher, Meryl Streep, and Dolly Parton to celebrate frontline pandemic workers and children.

The Safe and Sound virtual concert will air on May 19, at 5 pm PST. An RSVP for this concert is required as a link will be emailed to attendees when it is time for streaming. The concert admission is free/donation-based and 100% of proceeds will go directly to Safe Place for Youth.

You can also tune in to NBC’s sixth annual Red Nose Day Special on May 21 at 8 pm EST. This event will showcase performances by OneRepublic, Ellie Goulding, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Sam Smith, James Taylor, Meghan Trainor, and more.

Facebook, YouTube, and PBS will also stream the annual National Memorial Day Concert that traditionally airs from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. At 8 pm EST on May 24, this virtual concert will share performances by Tony winner Joe Montegna, Tony, Emmy, and Grammy award winner Cynthia Erivo, the highly acclaimed Renee Fleming, and more.
