On Monday, Nov. 7, New Canaan Public Schools will open on a regular, full day schedule. According to the New Canaan Office of Emergency Management, town-wide power restoration is near completion and they are currently in the process of servicing individual homes still without power.

This is Mike Handler with a 1 pm update form the Emergency Operations Center. All indications from the Governor, CL&P and our Town crews in the field are that damage is much more extensive than anticipated. We currently have 187 roads impacted by trees and wires. School colors of red and black overtook almost the student population on Red and Black day, Oct. 21. Red and black day is a time for school spirit, unity, and the spirit day that usually has the most participation–and intensity–of all the other Spirit Week days.
Time rewinds at NCHS

School was transformed into a mish-mosh of four different decades on Turn Back the Clock Day, Oct. 20. Freshman dressed as if they were in the ’50s, sophomores ’60s, juniors ’70s, and senior ’80s.
The “cloniest” Clone Day yet
