400,000 kids are trafficked in the United States each year. Pura Vida for Children will be hosting an assembly on December 10th during A and B period to raise awareness about child sex trafficking. This assembly will be led by Love146, a non- profit organization made up of modern-day abolitionists who are taking a strong stand to end child sex trafficking through raising awareness and are providing aftercare for rescued children…
This past Saturday, the cast of the New England Dance Academy’s The Nutcracker faced a headless nutcracker, broken glass, and other uncooperative props. Despite this, they finished the night safely with no falls or injuries.
Members of the audience admitting to noticing there were some difficulties. “Occasionally, it seemed a little off tempo,” said sophomore Maddy Prior. “Plus the nutcracker’s head flying off was unexpected. There was nothing so bad that it stood out though…”
In homeroom classes on Dec. 9, senior Lindsay Coburn will be surveying students’ opinions about school unity for her Civics project. She aims to gather student views on underclassmen/upperclassmen relations and whether Spirit Week activities bring school community or inter-class competition. “It will be discussion based,” she said. “Students will talk about if they feel everyone in the school gets along or whether there’s a divide between grades and certain clubs…”
Tree Huggers United is saving the rainforest, one fundraiser at a time. On Friday, December 4th, they hosted the THUG dance party at the Outback Teen Center from 7:30-10:30pm. Tickets were sold all week during lunch for $10 dollars Monday-Thursday and for $15 dollars on Friday. Students were required to dress in “thug” attire for the themed event…
Let’s be serious, at one point in time all of us have pitched a fit over losing a game of Cuberunner, Scoops, Billiards, or Wordle and the list only goes on and on. Looking around in the library there are at least three students on iPhones playing a game.
