Kick-Ass delivers exactly what it promises and more

Charlie Dorf

As far as comic book movies go, they are generally a mixed bunch, ranging from cinematic greatness (The Dark Night), to missed opportunities (Watchman), to absolute garbage (Spiderman 3, The Ghost Rider). Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass, in this reviewer’s humble opinion, the best comic book movie ever made. With crass yet witty dialogue, great performances across the board, stylized and seamless cinematography, and some of the most brutal (and awesome) action of I ever seen, this movie kicks a whole lot of ass…

Dani California

The best of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers: Dani California. This classic was released in 2006, four years ago when it was on 20 charts for a total of 500 weeks. This included being #1 on the Modern Rock tracks chart for ten weeks and two weeks at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Raveonettes

Three songs by The Ravonettes are a long way from their home in Copenhagen, Denmark appearing in a recent episode of Gossip Girl and Nicholas Sparks’s latest book turned movie The Last Song (yes, the one written for Miley Cyrus). All three of the songs are from The Ravoenette’s latest album (their fourth) In and Out of Control released back in October.

SafetySuit’s Life Left to Go

The Moment: “I need to let go of the things I see that have always let me fall/
And I cannot find my way home no because I’m already home.” Somehow this song is like a sarcastic slap in the face, hence why it’s my favorite. Instead of taking the normally bitter and sad route for a break up song SafetySuit uses their words to express emotions while playing guitar that makes Tim Brantley look emo.
