‘Rango’ delivers a solid Western geared towards an older audience

I’m a sucker for Westerns. Be it a Sergio Leone spaghetti Western (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly) or a Joss Weadon space Western (Serenity), I have probably seen it multiple times. Going in to Rango, I was afraid that the film would turn my beloved genre into a hackneyed kids movie, making a mockery of everything Leone and Eastwood built to make the western what it is today. I was happily proven wrong.

Girls Hockey primed to win State Championship

With the way the Girls Hockey team played this season, there was little doubt among the fans who attended the FCIAC championship game against the Darien Blue Wave who would pull out the W. By the time the Rams took a 5-0 lead by the end of the first period, the Rams’ FCIAC chances were all but assured. The 7-1 massacre at the Darien Ice Rink, the Rams’ fifth FCIAC Championship victory in the past seven years, is illustrative of the Rams’ incredible season. They have been absolutely unstoppable with a 22-1 record.

Will Carmelo Anthony bring the Knicks success?

Five games since the blockbuster Carmelo Anthony trade, the New York Knicks are 3-2, including a huge win over the Miami Heat on Sunday. However, consistency on the defensive end is what looms as the Knicks’ main issue.

All season the Knicks have been have been absolute dynamite on offense, averaging 106.2 points per game, good for second in the league.

The Struggles in Wisconsin
