We’ve all been there: watching the cost of filling the gas tank reach the $50 mark and saying goodbye to half of last week’s paycheck. With gas prices so high, it’s worth finding the gas station with the least expensive prices and going the extra couple of miles to get there. Luckily, with Gasbuddy, finding the cheapest gas is easy and instant.

To use the app, just type in a zip code and it will tell you the prices for gas at every station near that location, making it simple to compare and find the best one. You can sort the stations by distance, price, and even gasoline grade. Then, you can share your finds through the app via text message or email. Though you don’t have to, signing up to be a member can earn you points from gas prices you report to use towards their weekly $250 giveaway!

Unfortunately, gas prices will never be 99 cents a gallon like when Mom and Dad were teenagers. Luckily, you can save by finding the cheapest gas around. Download the app for free for iPhone, Android, or Blackberry.

Anyone else notice it says gas was 24 cents a gallon?
