I began taking journalism three years ago as a sophomore and now I end my NCHS journalist journey knowing more than I had anticipated about the field of communications. As a sophomore, my starting position was being a reporter, but as I worked towards having more responsibility in the class, I became a Features editor. I held this position the end of my sophmore year and all through junior year, at the end of which I became one of two editors-in-chief for the Courant year 2011-2012. These three years have taken me out of my comfort zone, and by doing so, have helped me grow as a person and a leader. I hope to take the skills I’ve learned from my advsiors, Mr. Mcateer and Mr. Cebulski, to college with me and to continue exploring the world of
International Night celebrates different cultures and students who excel in languages

On May 24 the World Language Department held their seventh annual International Night in the cafeteria from 5-7. Students, teachers and parents enjoyed numerous ethnic foods, listened to student performances and watched an award ceremony to honor those who excelled throughout the year.
