Sometimes when I wake up in the morning I am, for a brief moment, drastically confused about what I should wear. I wake up in the seasons of ambiguity between summer and fall, or fall and winter, and I frankly don’t know what the weather will be like. Will it be hot? Will it be cold? Is it a shorts day? Can I wear flip flops?

Rams pummel Wilton for homecoming victory, 43-7

After last week’s heartbreaking loss to St. Joseph’s, the Rams not only moved down in the FCIAC standings, but their spirits were down, too. They knew they couldn’t get revenge on St. Joe’s, so instead they took their anger out on the Wilton Warriors. Dominating them in almost every facet of the game, the Rams stormed to a 43-7 victory on Saturday afternoon at Dunning Stadium.

Over the past month we have been busy putting together the news section. We are excited to welcome Lizzy Kilbride onto our editorial staff!
Because October is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness, we’ve dedicated space to covering these issues. We also have an article on the Polo Foundation, founded by senior Isa Carillo in support of horse slaughter prevention. Awareness is a key trend of the October issue and is echoed in the editorial.

One year ago, senior Isabella Carillo’s beloved horse, Polo, was stolen by a horse trader, leading Isa to found the Polo Foundation last summer. The foundation aims at preventing the slaughter of horses and ponies.

Today marks the end of Spirit Week and the end of a week of outrageous outfits, great laughs, and good memories. With this afternoon’s pep rally and tonight’s bonfire, we are preparing ourselves for the culmination of the entire concept of Homecoming, the homecoming football game, also known as, the biggest game of the year.
