2020 has been a year of spontaneity, surprises and uprises. COVID-19, protests, policing, human rights, the climate, and more will all make the 2020 presidential election on November 3rd one of the most unique elections in American history.

The statistics included here are based on the election opinion survey sent by the Courant to the student body, and the mock election ballot. The mock election ballot received 383 total responses and included multiple third party candidates. The Courant survey received 247 responses, of which 30.4% were from Freshmen, 25.9% were from Sophomores, 19.8% were from Juniors, and 23.9% were from Seniors. Out of the students that answered this survey, 36% said they aligned with the Democratic Party, 30% said they aligned with the Republican Party, and 23.1% said they were Independent. All information provided on this page has been developed with the sole purpose of sharing varied student perspectives on the 2020 election.
