This past Tuesday, the All-Purpose Room came alive with music when the NCHS Music Department held their annual fall concert. Choir, orchestra and band students gathered to strut their stuff and perform solos in front of their parents and peers.
“It’s a great event for them to preview their pieces,” said Choir Teacher, David Gomez. “It also lets them prepare a solo, because on Saturday there is a State Music Adjudication (the Western Region Music Festival).”
“The concert gives student a reason to achieve excellence, and an opportunity to play in front of people,” said Band Teacher Scott Cranston. “Chamber music is great because the players are generating all aspects of the concert. There’s no dictator standing up there waving an iron stick.”
