The 10 most outstanding looks of JProm 2012

Some say that prom takes the title from Christmas as “the greatest time of the year.” The sun seems to shine a little brighter as juniors and seniors alike prepare for the biggest social event of the NCHS calendar. With this excitement, though, comes an added pressure of choosing the best look for you. This year, put your best effort into doing prom correctly and photographing like a star. Here are the ten looks that I found most outstanding from last year’s JProm.

Madison Boniface

Madison wasn’t afraid to wear an uncommon fabric. The sleekness of this Contraria dress draws instant attention and helps make the emerald pop! You should learn from her and take a little risk in the material you choose. Excellent selection.

Ali Sorbara

La Femme

Nothing makes a statement like a bright red, and all eyes were on Ali when she walked into JProm last year. This color looked great on her tan skin and it ‘s clear that she knew how to wear it with confidence. You go girl.

Katie Gummeson

Katie looked stunning in this off-white, sleeved dress and showed the Junior class that you can never go wrong with a classic look. With circular detailing from shoulder to toe, this dress looked great in every photograph, especially with Katie’s blonde curls. Definitely a favorite.

Kristi Gallup

A Step Ahead

Everything about this look was just perfect. Kristi rocked a black shimmery gown from A Step Ahead and showed the world how to do “shiny” correctly. Kristi wore her prom dress with confidence and paired it with the perfect accessories to match. Well done.

Kate Howard

Neiman Marcus

Little Miss Sunshine took prom in a bright yellow Neiman Marcus dress that will surely be remembered. Kate made the right choice in choosing a color that looked great on her and didn’t fall into the “its simple, its fine” category. The sun will come out tomorrow if everyone has the confidence that Kate did this prom season. Great choice.

Natalie Gilhool

Natalie made an appearance at both JProm and SProm last year, and her choice for Senior was worth all the appraisal it received. This navy gown was noticed by every senior and made tiny Nate look tall and ferocious. Jaw dropping.

Kristin Laub

BCBG

As per usual, Kristin’s style was one to be remembered. This amazing BCBG egg shell colored dress was paired with turquoise earrings and was definitely one of my favorites. Kristin knew how to incorporate accessories well with her prom dress, and stayed true to her preppy style with silver Jack Rogers. 10/10.

Lily Citrin

Neiman Marcus

It’s unfair to try and compete with Lily Citrin at Junior Prom because it’s a competition you are going to lose. LilCit looked flawless in a coral colored Neiman dress and accessorized it perfectly with dangly gold earrings. The choice couldn’t have been a better fit for her and we can’t wait to see what she’ll do this year. Literally perfect.

Sara Greene

ABS by Allan Schwartz

Oh. My. God. I never thought someone could make black work so well at prom. To all you on the edge about a formal black gown, this is how you do it. Paired with Stella and Dot serenity earrings, Sara owned JProm 2012. With her hair in an embellished up-do, Sara’s look was the talk of the season. So classy, so flattering. Get on this level.

Sammi Curtin

A Step Ahead

I will be the first one to criticize beading, until you bring up Sammi Curtin. Sammi wore a light blue gown with a low cut back, highlighted in bead work. This overall look was fun and interesting, and made a statement with its jewels without going over the top. Stunning.
