His lyrics helped Elphaba defy the gravity of Oz, deftly apply the colorful brushstrokes to Pocahontas’ wind, breath life into the circus community of Jesus Christ…wait. What was that last one?

On Oct. 12, Superintendent of Schools David Abbey announced his retirement. Dr. Abbey will officially end his term on July 1 after serving the NCPS school system for nearly twenty years.
In the upcoming school year, students, teachers and parents alike will be introduced to new technology, both inside and outside the classroom. Whether it is the use of online databases, social networking sites, or the newly installed Apple devices, the NCHS community will have access to technology unavailable to the majority of public high schools.
