NBA Playoff predictions

With the second round of the NBA playoffs about to begin, it’s time to make some predictions. Realistically, there is a big gap between the so-called elite teams in the NBA and everybody else, and arguably an even bigger gap between the Miami Heat and the other elite teams. The first round has become increasingly uncompetitive lately. Any type of upset is really rare in today’s NBA. Over the last ten years, lower seeded teams have only won a series about 16.7% of the time.

The NBA season may have been shortened this year from 82 games to 66 games due to the lockout, but the playoffs are the normal length. You need to win 4 best of 7 series in order to win the NBA championship.

Things I’m excited for this NBA season

The NBA players and owners seemed to pull a complete 180 and agree to a new collective bargaining agreement a few weeks ago. And now, the NBA will have a packed 66 game season that will begin on Christmas day and conclude in late June. With that said, here’s what I’m excited about this NBA season.
