Students review summer concert experiences

Summer means a lot of things to a lot of people. For some, it’s a trip to a summer house in the boonies, and for others simply an escape from the demands of the school year. Summer, however, is universally accepted as a time to relax and enjoy oneself, and for many this comes in the form of summer concerts. Several students submitted their own summer concert experiences below.

Paramore: the start of a downward spiral?

It’s official: Paramore guitarist Josh Farro and his brother, Zac, have been replaced. For those of you who, just like me, were wishing that the brothers would change their mind and return to the band, prepare to be heartbroken: As reported by the Washington Post, guitarist Justin York, along with drummer Josh Freese who is best known for his work with bands such as Guns N’ Roses and Nine Inch Nails, have been welcomed to the band temporarily.

Stewart Taylor on the road to Hollywood

Pursuing a dream takes hard work, long hours and a great deal of perseverance. Senior Stewart Taylor is very aware of this, but it has not stopped him from chasing the bright lights of Hollywood. Since the age of seven he has been actively involved with student and summer drama programs and writing his own songs. He hopes to turn this passion for music into a career.
