Between the size of the team, the fact that practices are held off campus and a lack of youth feeder programs, it’s no wonder that New Canaan High School gymnastics is unknown by most students. What is most unknown, however, is how much effort the gymnasts exert on a daily basis.

For the first time in seven years, the Rams’ football team will not be playing in the State Championship game. The Rams’ season came to an end on Sunday, Dec. 1, when they fell to Windsor by a score of 27-21.
After three State Championship appearances and one Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC) title, Coach Alex Whitten has decided to step down as the boys’ head lacrosse coach. Whitten left to become the new coach at Western Albemarle High School, located right outside Charlottesville, VA. He informed Athletic Director Jay Egan of his decision on Oct. 23, and let the team know the following day.
After the interruption and delay that followed Hurricane Sandy, the 2012 FCIAC (Fairfield County Interscholastic Conference) season is finally coming to a close.
