Senior Janelle Gerardi seems like your typical student: balancing time between her schoolwork, sports and college applications. However, outside of school, she spends over 100 hours of her free time focusing on something much bigger than herself.
Scholarship Sunday raised over $29,000

On Sunday, Mar. 26, NCHS will host the annual scholarship drive where students go door to door to raise money for scholarships that will send their classmates to college. While all contributions, including those from businesses and families, are appreciated, student involvement can make or break the program. To get involved, students can sign up at a table in the cafeteria from Mar. 20-24. A ‘pep-rally’ will also be held on the 24th and is meant to encourage kids to come out and help raise more money each year.
Search for superintendent extends to the community

Since Superintendent of Schools David Abbey announced his retirement on Oct. 12, a Superintendent Search Committee has been set up to make a decision regarding his successor. In search of feedback and input from the community, the committee has scheduled seven focus groups to be held primarily at the high school.
