Today, Friday, Oct. 11 is Red and Black day, the final day of Spirit Week. Students dress in NC colors to promote school pride for the afternoon pep rally and homecoming weekend.

Sophomore Paul Gelhaus understands the purpose of wearing red and black to encourage school pride for the weekend festivities, including the bonfire, homecoming football game and dance. “I like red and black day because it pumps people up for homecoming,” he said.

Senior Charlotte Rosenberg looks forward to the pep rally at the end of the day, a chance for students to support each other and cheer on their teams. “I like to be spirited and show the spirit of the high school,” Charlotte said. “It’s a great time for everyone to come out together and be a whole school.”
