Spirit Week kicked off today, Oct. 7, with Color for a Cause Day. Each grade will wear a color to support a specific cause. Freshmen wear purple for pancreatic cancer awareness, sophomores wear yellow to support our troops, juniors wear white for lung cancer awareness and seniors wear pink for breast cancer awareness.

Senior Caroline Pratt understands the importance of participating in Color for a Cause Day. “Color for a Cause day is important because it unites all the grades behind a common cause and it’s always fun to dress up and support that cause,” Caroline said. “I’m excited for Spirit Week because it’s a great way to show your school spirit and have a little fun.”

Sophomore Andrew Chalon agrees and sees how important it is to wear your grade’s color to support your designated cause. Andrew also looks forward to Wednesday in particular. “It’s important to wear your color to support whatever your grade is supporting,” he said. “I’m excited to see everyone in their clone day costumes.”
