On Saturday April 27, this year’s Color Run gives people the chance to raise money for students in need, while getting some exercise. The New Canaan Scholarship Foundation looks to raise 100,000 dollars to reward students with scholarships for college.
The event will take place at New Canaan High School and will be hard to miss. Last year’s event held over 900 volunteers and participants! Volunteers cover you in colors such as red, blue, yellow, and green as you run by making it a vibrant and fun experience.
The Kid’s Dash is 0.8 miles. Kids of ages 5 and under run free. The Kid’s Color Dash will be at 9 a.m. The NC Color Run starts half an hour later and is a 5k.
Individual passes are $35 each and family passes are $135. There are Gold Medal options for both passes allowing you to make an additional donation to the foundation. All members who register and participate receive free sunglasses, a t-shirt, a wristband, and a personal powder paint packet.
