Recognition Ceremony celebrates student achievements

On Friday, May 24, the Recognition ceremony took place in the NCHS Auditorium.

The recognition ceremony awarded about 130 students for various achievements. Assistant Principal Ari Rothman talks about the type of students who are recognized. “It is our annual event, at which students – primarily seniors – are recognized for accomplishments in academics, leadership, service, and contributions to the school and community,” Mr.Rothman said.

Mr.Rothman talks about how each award is given based on your accomplishments throughout your high school years and there is no actual competition for an award. “All awards are notable and none are not ‘hard to win.’ Students don’t apply and/or compete for these; each award has established criteria for consideration and departments, community sponsors, programs,” Mr.Rothman said.
