As avid Swifties, devoted to all that is Taylor Swift, we have decided to share our support for this exceptional artist by ranking the songs in each of her albums. It is critical to clarify that we love all of Swift’s work, and are simply expressing how we personally favor the songs in her portfolio. 1. You Belong With Me
Taylor Swift captures the timeless story of a classic teenage romance in her Grammy nominated song You Belong With Me. The music video alone has racked up more than 1.3 billion views on YouTube; and we probably make up one million of those views, given that our favorite pastime is watching the video on repeat. We are also both proud owners of Junior Jewels shirts that we made together after a Target run… highly recommend this song and that activity!
2. Love Story
Continuing to portray a whirlwind romance through music, Love Story plays on the classic Romeo and Juliette plot line. In 2008, the song debuted at number 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and has become a staple in Taylor’s discography since. With enrapturing lyrics and swooping instrumentals, Love Story is a personal favorite among Swifties of all age groups and life experiences.
3. Forever and Always
A mix of pop, country, and rock, Forever and Always secured our number three spot for its perspective on Swift’s breakup with singer Joe Jonas, who she dated in 2008. Their short lived romance resulted in this addictive breakup anthem that mixes melancholy and anger to produce music that resembles the hard-hitting tracks we see next on Speak Now.
