Friday night’s football game on November 4 against the St. Joe’s Cadets was one to forget, as the Cadets continued their 14 game win streak in a massive 58-14 upset. In the first play of the game, St. Joe’s quarterback Jack Wallace launched a 58-yard touchdown to Will Diamantis. This trend continued as Wallace was 10- for-13 for a total of 236 throwing yards and 5 touchdown passes in the first half.

The Rams struggled to get something going, as Drew Pyne was 14-for-27 for 125 yards with two interceptions, and accumulated only 25 rushing yards. Second-half Reid Brown was 4-of-6 for 105 yards, throwing a 75-yard TD to Zach LaPolice.

The Cadets were up 14-0 just 3:15 in the game, and by the end of the first quarter had extended their lead to 28-0. Going into the half they had a 51-7 lead after a strong second quarter by the defense.

The Rams are now 2-2, and senior captain Matt Rigione says the team is looking forward to going back to the drawing board and taking this game as an opportunity to grow. “We got hit hard and it’s our job over the next two weeks to learn from our mistakes and make corrections, so what happened against St Joe’s never happens again.”
