As the 2012-2013 school year comes to an end, the Courant welcomes juniors Emily Brand, Tyler Kendall, Isabel Lawrence and Bryn Pennetti as the new Editors-in Chief (EICs) in place of Marcus Hijkoop, Kate Howard, Lily Kazemi, Sara Levine and Giuliana Savini.

Entering the season short three key athletes, the varsity cheerleading team was forced to work around their multiple injuries. However, the girls overcame their obstacles, placing seventh out of 16 teams in the Fairfield Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC) competition.

We couldn’t imagine anything topping the Angelina Jolie leg that made up the 2012 Oscars. Boy, were we proven wrong. From crazy hair to JLaw’s trip up the stairs to the controversial musical theme, this year’s event was one to remember. In the style of The Clique series, we’ve made the 2013 Oscars In and Out List.

‘Tis the season to be jolly?
It certainly is for those students who applied early to schools and received their acceptance letters. However, many students are still anxiously awaiting their decisions, having already received their rejections and deferrals or having pushed the whole thing off to the last week of December.
