As finals begin, summer is closer than ever. In order to give you all a little idea of what students are doing this summer along with some good ideas are to make this summer the best possible, NCHS Courant investigated. Hopefully this video has provided some summer inspiration!

International Night recognizes cultures through food and performances

On Thursday, May 26, International Night was hosted in the cafeteria, where attending students, faculty members and parents were able to enjoy dishes from foreign cultures and watch student performances. Select students were also recognized with awards from their language teachers for outstanding achievements in class, and those who brought in dishes earned extra credit. Throughout the evening several students also highlighted world cultures through their creative singing and dancing performances.

Theater students take a stroll through “The Secret Garden”

On June 3 the NCHS Drama Department premiered the spring production of The Secret Garden . Based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, the play tells the story of an orphaned girl named Mary Lennox, who is sent to India to live with her widowed Uncle Archibald. The cast also includes the sibling servant duo Martha and Dickens, Archibald’s lost love Lily and devious brother Neville, and various regal ghosts.
