For the past few years, the Rams Football team has maintained a solid reputation as “the team to beat.” For this year’s team, the goal was to keep that reputation. Senior captains Bobby Distler, Kevin McDonough and Matt Milano took this task seriously, leading the team to an FCIAC record of 11-1 and the State Championship game. “This season, it was really about getting all the guys to work together and unite in a common goal,” Kevin said.

Dr. Luizzi Reflects

This new school year saw the rise of a new administration under a new principal, Dr. Bryan Luizzi. Dr. Luizzi originally came from Brookfield High School where he served for two years as the assistant principal, and then five years as the principal. He has also worked as the assistant principal of Whisconier Middle School, the dean of students in Litchfield High School, an English teacher and master of technology operations for Newtown Public School. He has degrees from Columbia University, Sacred Heart University, Western Connecticut State University and Clemson University. Here, he reflects on what his transition has been like.

It’s that time of year again, when those who are in a relationship have the excuse to amp up the PDA, and the other single teenagers break out their box of chocolates and the latest season of the Bachelor.
As Valentine’s Day slowly approaches, the time comes to show that special someone how much you really care about them. For sophomores Erik Jager and Maureen Schott, this will not be the first Valentine’s Day they will spend together so they will be taking a more laid back approach toward the holiday.
