What was the biggest shock of the tournament thus far?

Andie: Michigan. I did not even expect them to make it through the first round and now they have knocked off a number-two seed to make it to the Sweet 16.

Sam: The ACC’s poor playing has been the most surprising. All season viewers have been accustomed to the statements that the ACC is the most difficult league that they are practically in a league of their own, so it is shocking so see only one team barely holding on.

What was your favorite moment from the last two rounds?

Andie: My favorite moment was at the end of the Duke vs South Carolina game. As a huge Syracuse fan, I take any chance I get to see Duke lose. Plus, I also love a good underdog story. In those last minutes I was on the edge of my seat hoping the game was over and Duke would not come back. After, we saw footage of the South Carolina locker room as water was flying everywhere and you could see the pure happiness and excitement of the players.

Sam: By far my favorite memory from the last few nights was in the game between the UC Davis Aggies and the University of Kansas Jayhawks. The Jayhawks were up 97-62 and brought in Coach Bill Self’s son, Tyler, a fifth year senior to play. In the last minute of the game, Tyler had the ball and made a three-pointer. The bench erupted, cheering for “one of the only

likable coach’s sons.” Coach Self just sat clapping, trying to contain his excitement.

Who can win it all after the first two rounds?

Andie: The University of Arizona looked extremely strong in their recent games. Although it looks as if anything can happen, I think that Arizona can take home the

title.

Sam: At this point, I do not believe that there are any clear cut winner. Almost every high ranked team has had significant struggles in their games. My guess would be Kentucky or West Virginia at this point, even though both teams have struggled in recent games.

What should be expected in the Sweet 16?

Andie: I think that all of the games will go down to the last seconds and will be really interesting. I definitely think that anyone has a shot at making it to the title game at this point.

Sam: UCLA and Kentucky will be the most interesting game by far. While both teams have done well in the tournament, I think that Kentucky will come away with the win. Coach Calipari has produced championship winning teams year after year and UCLA has off the court distractions, such as LaVar Ball.
