Due to the performances of senior co-captains Logan Hart, Justin Meichner, Teddy Dumbauld, Michael Kraus, along with the rest of the team, the boys lacrosse team finished their regular season with a 10-1 FCIAC record and a 14-3 record overall. Although the team did not achieve their goal of winning FCIACs, the boy still see the season as a success.
Logan believes that although the team did not make it to the FCIAC championship, there is more to the season than that one game. “Although we didn’t win FCIACs, I think our season was definitely a success because we all
came together and had a good time doing it,” Logan said. “This team is only together for one season, and in such a short period of time, everyone came together to make this year special.”
Despite this, Logan hopes to see the Rams in the championship next year. “I look forward to seeing my teammates competing to win the FCIAC title next year,” Logan said. “We couldn’t do it, but I think they’ll have the ability to do so.”

From day one of the spring season, the girls lacrosse team was ready to fight for a postseason title. With a 13-3 regular season, senior co-captains Emily DeTour, Elizabeth Miller, and Isabel Taben, along with the rest of their teammates, stepped into FCIACs confident that they would go far. The girls did not disappoint as they blew past Ridgefield in the Quarterfinals, beating them 18-3, and also took down Greenwich 11-4 to once again meet up with rival Darien in the Championship.
Despite having the lead most of the game, Darien came from behind to tie the score at 10 at the end of the second half. The game continued into a sudden-death double overtime with the score tied at 12 until the Blue Wave was able to overcome the efforts of Elizabeth and junior Catherine Granito, Kylie Murphy and Katie DeMarino.
While the team is frustrated by the loss, they know that this season has been one to remember because they truly began to work as one unit. “We had a couple of rough games in the middle of the season, such as Yorktown, because we did not play as a team, but since then we focused more on working together and improving,” Elizabeth said. “Our wins against Greenwich and Longmeadow, MA not only helped us in terms of standings but also it allowed us to see how capable we are of competing with tough opponents. Even though we lost in the Championship, it is still the highlight of our season because we worked hard all season to make it that far.”
