North American Irish Dancing Championships – Founded by 6 Irish Dance Teachers in 1964 and created by The Irish Dance Teacher’s Association of North America, it was held the first North American Irish Dance Championships in Manhattan, which qualified dancers for the first World Championship to be held in Dublin.
All Irelands – An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha, was an organization created in the late twenties and established as an authority in 1930 to promote and foster all forms of Irish Dance. The organizations hosts All Ireland Championships.
All Scotlands – Hosted in Scotland in February, is the last major competition on the Irish Dance calendar before World Championships. The competition hosts 2,000 competitors representing 300 dance schools. Close to 2,500 spectators attend as well.
World Championships – Hosted in a different city around the world every year, and usually have close to 14,000 dancers and attendees. This year, the Worlds will be hosted in Montreal, Canada.
