Every weekday, I will be posting bits of hope and positivity from around the world in the midst of the Coronavirus quarantine
Multiple grocery stores in the United Kingdom have been opening early to give elderly citizens time to shop without the risk of being infected by COVID-19.
In Cornwall, the Constantine Bay Stores created “The 1950’s Club” initiative to provide a safe environment for those born on or before 1950 to shop for essentials and groceries. They can come to the store to shop from 8am to 8:30am every day. Other store chains such as Woolworths in Australia have followed suit.
In Belfast, Ireland, Iceland Foods opens their store for an hour in the mornings as well for elderly only.
