Every weekday, I will be posting bits of hope and positivity from around the world in the midst of the Coronavirus quarantine
When librarian Resa Mai of Loveland, Colorado starting working from home due to COVID-19, she no longer had to drive her 70 mile roundtrip journey to work. This saved her $35 a week in gas, so she decided to spend it in a more charitable way.
She orders one meal a week from locally owned restaurants and delivers them to family, friends and co-workers. This way, she hopes to keep local restaurants and Uber Eats/Grub Hub drivers in business. It’s a nice surprise for those who recieve the meal, too!
Mai hopes to inspire others who are working remotely to do the same. “I hope people know we’re still connected and we’re still thinking about each other!” she said.
