Every weekday, I will be posting bits of hope and positivity from around the world in the midst of the Coronavirus quarantine
In Gilbert, Arizona, married couple Sara and Charlie Myers spread kindness to an Assisted Living Center in their local neighborhood.
Before COVID-19 quarantined the town, Sara’s bookclub dropped off jigsaw puzzles at her house so they could trade at their next meeting, which unfortunately never occurred due to the virus. Sara posted on Facebook that she had plenty of (sealed and disinfected) puzzles she’d love to share. Her act of kindness was returned with an act just as sweet.
When Sara announced her difficulty finding flour, yeast and baking powder, her friend offered to take the puzzles to an Assisted Living nearby in exchange for baking ingredients. Thus, the “Puzzles for Flour” exchange began. Bags of flour were dropped off to the Myers household while her puzzles were given to the residents confined to their rooms.
My grandparents have shown that no matter how small, any act of kindness is enough.
